Hunger Games 2 Part 2

What do they tell you about the film? Genre, target audience?
I can tell by looking at the poster that this movie’s genre is Action, Adventure and Sci-fi as the main actress is surrounded in a fired up atmosphere making her look brave and strong willed as she is targeting something with her bow and arrow. The target audience for this is movie is for anyone who enjoys watching action and sci fi movies.

·     Are there any intertextual references?

·     What methods are used to ‘sell’ the film?
The methods that they used to sell this film is maybe by putting a well-known, Grammy Award winning actress Jennifer Lawrence; it’s like some sort of celebrity endorsement. Also this is a second part of the Hunger Games as many people enjoyed watching the first movie.

·     What information do they give you about the film?
I get that this film will have loads of dangerous stunts as the poster main colour scheme is red which is associated with danger. The main character is surrounded by fire maybe showing her determination in this movie, there is a badge in the back maybe that is what this game is about to earn/ win that badge.

·     Are they successful at making you want to see the film? Why?
Yes, as it looks exciting with all the fire and the seriousness shown by the main characters face giving me the audience a sense that it will be very thrilling to watch

·     What other ways was the film promoted – give at least 3 examples
